i.e. = singkatan dari bahasan latin "id est"
yang dalam bahasa inggrisnya "that is"
dan dalam bahasa indonesia "yaitu".

e.g. = singkatan dari bahasa latin "exempli gratia" 
yang dalam bahasa inggrisnya "for example" 
dan dalam bahasa indonesia "misalnya"

etc. = singkatan dari bahasa latin "et cetera" 
yang dalam bahasa inggrisnya "and other things" 
dan dalam bahasa indonesia "dan lain-lain" atau "dan sebagainya"

ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam menggunakan kata ini:

1. Harus ditambahi tanda titik "." diakhir -> etc.

2. Tidak menambahkan kata "and" sebelum kata "etc." karena arti etc. sudah mengandung kata "and".
